I have enjoyed teaching in dozens of states. I've also been a featured artist and instructor at many wonderful needlework events. I teach two different punchneedle classes: Beginning Punchneedle: $35 per person This 3-hour class introduces the sutdent to the art form of Russian Punchneedle, it's unique history and recent resurgence. Charlotte teaches the techniques of the three strand needle, as well as thread manipulation, clipping, sculpting, pile depth and finishing. You will work on a small pin project in class that I provide. Students also receive the 2007 teaching exclusive pattern, Counting Sheep ©2007 Designs from the Pep'r Pot (below) and floss for their in-class project. Many shops start with beginning punchneedle, but I can also teach more advanced applications like finishing (below). ![]() Beyond the Basics: Finishing Class $45 per person Bring a completed punchneedle project ready to start finishing. We will begin with "blocking" your design. Then, Charlotte will demonstrate popular finishing techniques, such as "whip-stitched" edge, appliqué, gift boxes, ornaments, framing with a pre-set opening, wool frames and more. All finishing techniques are conservation quality.... no glue! Each student will receive a color pamphlet detailing the steps for finishing. Students will also receive the 2007 exclusive pattern Counting Sheep ©2007 Designs from the Pep'r Pot, as well as a sewing bag full of the recommended materials for finishing.
